The Challenge

FCI Asia Pte Ltd (an Amphenol company), was originally looking for an outsourcing partner for its data centre operations in Asia. A change in ownership led to the search for further cost control while achieving additional flexibility and business agility to remain competitive in the coming years.

The Solution

After the initial work was completed, the global CIO decided to expand the scope of the consultancy to create a more comprehensive project for FCI Asia. As a next step, FCI Asia engaged Reppel to conduct a tender for its in-house application development and support, with approximately 75 engineers in a South Asian location. The aim was to maintain performance while achieving critical mass for operations.

The tender was created within 2 weeks and FCI Asia was able to participate in the creation. This significantly shortened the process and allowed FCI Asia to make a decision much earlier than planned! The clear content and concise format of the tender document itself allowed the client to quickly narrow down to 3 suppliers with individual strengths and motivations.
