I am a physicist and founder and have held IT leadership roles since 1995, on both the client and the vendor side. Today I support mid-sized companies as an interim CIO, as the lead of transformation programmes and with AI strategy, AI risk and governance.

In 2002 I founded Reppel & Partners Pte Ltd in Singapore. Since then we have supported industrial companies in managing and running their IT: from CIO services and setting up and leading shared service centres for Asia to complex cloud migrations. For more than 8 years I served as Chief Information Officer for the Asia-Pacific region of a client under a mandate. Since 2022 I have also been advising from Freiburg with Reppel Consulting.

My experience is broad: from Industry 4.0 analyses to the design of a digital twin of a complete plant in the oil and gas industry, from the migration of a data centre to the introduction of a learning management system in the education sector. Having built up the Asia-Pacific region of an anti-money-laundering software vendor (AML/KYC), I know governance, risk and compliance from practice. In recent years AI projects have been added, always with a focus on value, risk and governance.

Many of my clients come back. What makes the difference is goal-oriented action, consistent change management at the level of organisation, people and systems (people, process, tools) and clear, open communication. More than 20 years of work in Asia have given me the intercultural competence that international projects need.
