With this privacy policy we inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide on the purposes and means of processing either alone or jointly with others. We also inform you about third-party components we use for optimisation purposes and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data under their own responsibility.

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be erased or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, erasure does not conflict with statutory retention obligations and no other information on individual processing operations is given below.

Hosting

Our website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you access our pages, IONOS processes technically necessary access data on our behalf: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type, operating system and the previously visited page. The processing serves the delivery and security of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Cookies and consent management

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your browser stores on your device. We use technically necessary cookies on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; all other cookies, in particular for visitor statistics, are only used with your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can use the cookie banner to determine which categories of cookies you consent to. To manage your selection we use the CookieYes service provided by CookieYes Limited, 3 Warren Yard, Warren Park, Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes, MK12 5NW, United Kingdom. The service stores your selection in a cookie and loads a script from the provider’s servers for this purpose, whereby your IP address is transmitted. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the legally compliant management of consent. You can change your selection at any time via the icon at the edge of the page. You can also prevent cookies from being stored in your browser settings and delete stored cookies there.

Contact enquiries

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, the data you provide will be used to process your enquiry. Providing this data is necessary to process and answer your enquiry; without it we cannot answer your enquiry, or only to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be erased once your enquiry has been conclusively answered and erasure does not conflict with statutory retention obligations, for example in the case of subsequent contract processing.

Facebook

To promote our products and services and to communicate with interested parties and customers, we maintain a company presence on the Facebook platform. On this social media platform we are jointly responsible with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. Facebook’s data protection officer can be reached via a contact form: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/540977946302970

We have set out the joint responsibility in an agreement regarding the respective obligations under the GDPR, available at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum

The legal basis for the resulting processing of personal data described below is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in analysis, communication, and the sale and promotion of our products and services. The legal basis may also be the user’s consent given to the platform operator pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Users may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future by notifying the platform operator, in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR.

When our presence on Facebook is accessed, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, as operator of the platform in the EU, processes user data (e.g. personal information, IP address). This data is used for statistical information about the use of our company presence on Facebook. Meta uses this data for market research and advertising purposes and to create user profiles. Based on these profiles, Meta can, for example, show users interest-based advertising within and outside Facebook. If the user is logged into their Facebook account at the time of access, Meta can also link the data to that account.

If a user contacts us via Facebook, the personal data entered on that occasion will be used to process the enquiry. We erase this data once the enquiry has been conclusively answered and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Meta may also set cookies to process the data. If you do not agree with this processing, you can prevent cookies from being installed through your browser settings; stored cookies can also be deleted at any time. If you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, not all Facebook functions may be fully usable. Details on the processing activities, how to prevent them and on the erasure of data processed by Facebook can be found in Facebook’s data policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation

It cannot be ruled out that processing by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited also takes place via Meta Platforms, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA.

LinkedIn

We maintain an online presence on LinkedIn to present our company and our services and to communicate with customers and interested parties. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, a subsidiary of LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA.

We point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union, in particular in the USA. This may entail increased risks for users, for example because later access to the user data may be more difficult. We have no access to this user data; access lies exclusively with LinkedIn. LinkedIn’s privacy policy is available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

Both are referred to below as “Automattic”.

The service is used to analyse how our website is used. The service is only loaded once you have consented to the “Analytics” category in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the cookie banner.

To analyse usage behaviour, Jetpack – WordPress Stats stores cookies on your device via your browser. The processing covers your IP address, the pages of our website you visit, the website from which you came to our website (referrer URL), the time you spend on our website and the frequency with which our pages are accessed.
